This page has been created to provide information to citizens regarding the Coronavirus outbreak.  Nelson County Judge/Executive, Dean Watts, has declared a State of Emergency in preparedness and response to the Coronavirus.  Everyone is encouraged to follow all Health Department and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines to help prevent contracting or spreading the virus. This site provides links to resources at the Federal, state and local levels and identifies any policy or administrative changes impacting Nelson County Departments.

Nelson County will have their monthly Feeding America Program at the Nelson County Fairgrounds this Wednesday, March 25 starting at 10 am. This includes the senior boxes that are usually picked up at the Fairgrounds.  Extra precautions are being implemented in order to protect our volunteers. Clients are asked to stay in their vehicles.
